Lessons with us are about having fun and learning valuable, usable musical techniques. Before I start teaching you we will sit down and discuss your aims and interests.
It is important to us that you enjoy what we are doing and that you feel like you are working toward your personal goals.
We can make your lessons full of music theory and in depth analysis or keep it more focussed towards playing songs.
Each lesson includes colour lesson notes and audio examples tailored to your lesson. Basically everything we cover in the lesson has been typed out so you can review what we have covered and play along with the examples.
We want to make learning fun and easy for you.
We offer tuition on electric guitar and acoustic guitar.
Beginners are more than welcome as are intermediate players looking to take the next step in their playing.
Styles taught include pop, rock, blues, jazz, slide and much more inbetween.
We have some amazing guitar technology on offer too- from a rare class A "Blue" Marshall Bluesbreaker to touch pad guitar effects and various types of vintage guitars
If you don't yet have a guitar we can either lend you one or find you a great deal to buy.
We teach modern pop and rock on drums, again beginners are more than welcome to give this great instrument a try. It is much easier than you think!
Lessons are conducted on a Trapps E-350 electric drum kit. This is a great kit which mimics the feel and formation of an acoustic kit with standard sized mesh heads
The Trapps kit also allow us to switch to different styles of kit meaning we can cover different genres while keeping a great drum sound.
We can teach beginners this great instrument or help intermediate players progress to the next stage of bass playing.
Styles and techniques taught include pop, rock, funk, jazz, slap bass, harmonics and song writing
Many people ask how to write bass lines, or even just pick up the bass and jam rather than recite a song.
